Life Surge Reviews Highlight Experiences of Faith-Driven Entrepreneurs

Life Surge Reviews

The Life Surge reviews are in, and it’s official — faith-based entrepreneurship organization Life Surge is making an impact among Christian business owners seeking to integrate faith with professional pursuits. Attendees praise the community-building aspect and practical business strategies taught at its live events.

Stephen G., a gym owner from Boiling Springs, South Carolina, found tremendous value in Life Surge’s approach to ministry within business. “What I’ve learned so far from Life Surge has mostly been how I can incorporate ministry within my business,” he explained in his Life Surge review. His gym already serves students and unhoused populations in his community.

Stephen G. added, “I’ve really enjoyed the thought that just because my business is successful doesn’t necessarily need to feel like a bad thing. It’s creating an abundance that I can give away and multiply.”

He also described Life Surge as “impactful” and mentions the “six-pot principle” guiding his approach to community influence. “Anything that I can reach out and touch I have impact over, and so I start small in my community and hopefully that will branch out over the nation, over the world,” he shared. He noted that he particularly connected with John C. Maxwell’s teaching that business success shouldn’t not be viewed negatively by people of faith. Maxwell is a famous face who frequently appears at Life Surge events.

Life Surge CEO Joe Johnson points out that the organization addresses a common tension many Christian entrepreneurs face: reconciling financial success with spiritual values.

“When I was 18 years old, I gave my life to Christ, and that was very important to me,” Johnson shares. “But what I thought that meant was I had to kind of work in church in a full-time ministry role. We looked at church work as holy and nonchurch work as not holy. During that time, I spent most of the time at church and not on my business.”

This mindset ultimately led to financial difficulty for Johnson, who at 21 found himself $330,000 in debt after his business went bankrupt. “The primary reason for my bankruptcy as a young businessman was because of my sacred/secular dichotomy,” Johnson reflects. “I really did not see my business as the thing that God called me in terms of my ministry.”

Community-Centric Approach

Matt E., another Life Surge attendee, described his experience as “life-changing.” He emphasized the importance of following your unique path rather than conforming to societal norms. “The path to the outcomes you want aren’t found in what happens every day,” he stated. “You’ve got to walk a path, but if you don’t take that path that’s yours … you never accomplish or have the ability to influence, accomplish, or make a difference in somebody else’s life.”

Matt E. was so moved by his experience that he plans to “pick up the phone and reach out to a whole lot of people to not miss this because this is definitely a life-changing event.”

Life Surge deliberately focuses on in-person events despite recent trends toward virtual gatherings. Johnson believes this physical community aspect creates transformative experiences, unlike any virtual alternative.

“Most of us have been through a virtual event,” Johnson says. “The human connection of being live and in person, in community with people in your backyard, in essence, from your own community who are searching for something greater, adds a lot.”

Life Surge launched during the COVID-19 pandemic when many event-based businesses were pivoting away from in-person gatherings. Johnson sees this counterintuitive timing as strategic. “In 2020, most of our industry said, events are dead and are never coming back again. And we looked at it and said, no, it’s actually the exact opposite,” Johnson recalls.

Focus on Transformation

Life Surge continues to attract high-profile speakers. Actress Patricia Heaton, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, and Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec have all appeared or will appear at upcoming events. Johnson notes that the organization now faces the enviable problem of having to turn away many potential speakers as the demand to participate grows.

For attendees like Stephen G., who filled “a whole notebook full of notes” halfway through his first event, the appeal comes from practical, faith-based business guidance that doesn’t require separating professional success from spiritual fulfillment. Life Surge’s rapid growth suggests many Christian entrepreneurs are seeking exactly this integration.

The organization’s emphasis on building authentic relationships and providing transformational experiences continues to resonate with business owners who seek to integrate their faith with their professional pursuits.

Those considering attending are advised by Johnson to “come with an open mind” and “don’t be late,” as the transformational journey begins from the opening moments.
